The children in 4G have started to lead their own Collective worship in class. They will be doing this in pairs throughout the year and have already had some wonderful ideas. Please feel free to help your child with ideas for worship following the structure of:
We have been reading the Iron Man and have produced lots of amazing work from diary entries to news reports.

Our topic for Autumn 1 was called `Flow` and Science was ` Magnets and Forces`.
We have been learning about the water cycle and able to locate rivers and seas using an atlas. We have also been learning about magnets and forces as well as doing lots of experiments to test it out for ourselves.
We have enjoyed learning about Baptism and the Christian family. We have written our own prayers, created Baptism candles and shared lots of thoughts and writing about being part of the Christian family.
In Autumn 2 we having been reading `Oliver and the Seawigs`.
We have created some of our own seawigs and had fun writing character descriptions.
We have been learning about the Sacrament of Reconciliation in class and reflecting on this in our collective worship. For more detail about the children`s work please look at the Spring Newsletter.
We have been reading and performing a variety of Ancient Greek myths and legends. The children have enjoyed writing diaries, setting descriptions, character descriptions and short battle stories about Theseus and the Minotaur.
Topic, Science, Art and PE:
We have been learning about Ancient Greece; location, important people, timeline, clothes, culture and the Olympics. The children also dressed up as Ancient Greeks for the day and took part in a immersive workshop.
The children have also been learning about how to keep our bodies healthy through Science and PE.
