School Dinners

All children in Year 2, Year 1 or the Reception Class are able to have a school dinner at no cost. This is not compulsory and children can still bring a packed lunch if they wish.

For children in KS2 and for children who attend our Nursery full time, the cost of school meals is £2.50 per day,

School dinners are ordered via Evolve. Please contact the school office at stmonicas.admin@trafford.gov.uk for further information or to request a new login.

Free School meals are provided when parents/carers meet certain eligibility criteria. If a parent meets the qualifying criteria for Free School Meals this can raised extra funding for our school.

If you receive certain benefits, we need you to complete a form for Free School Meals whether you want your child to have a hot meal or bring their own lunch.

Your child may be able to get free school meals if you receive any of the following:

  • Income Support
  • Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
  • Income-related Employment and Support Allowance
  • Support under Part VI of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999
  • The guaranteed element of Pension Credit
  • Child Tax Credit (provided you're not also entitled to Working Tax Credit and have an annual gross income of no more than £16,190)
  • Working Tax Credit run-on - paid for 4 weeks after you stop qualifying for Working Tax Credit
  • Universal Credit - if you apply on or after 1st April 2018 your household income must be less than £7,400 a year (after tax and not including any benefits you get)

Please contact the school office for further details.
