Monday 1st March

Whole-School Assembly

Mrs. Davies will be recording a whole school assembly with the children in school at 9.15am this morning. This will be posted on Dojo at around 9.45am.

Lesson 1 - Maths

In this lesson, you will learn how to show the same lengths using metres and centimetres. You will use your knowledge that there 1 metre = 100cm to convert lengths from metres to centimetres and the other way round! Both groups need to work through the video below and then complete the activity sheet.

Equivalent lengths (m & cm)

Lesson 2 - Reading

Read 'Instruction Puzzles' and answer the questions.

Lesson 3 - English

Today, you will complete plot point 5 of 'The Lost Thing'. As before - use a thesaurus to add your own ideas to those provided by Mrs C to complete the sentences in each learning chunk. The thinking and writing side support sheets are provided below.

The Lost Thing - Sentence Lesson 5

Lesson 4 - Spellings

1. Get an adult to test you on last week's word lists and send your scores to Mr Tatlow via Dojo.

2. Complete the spelling activities below - Mrs. Richardson's Group can skip this step.

3. Practise using the words in your list in your own sentences. You can do this verbally.

4. Spend some time practising your new word list on Spelling Shed. Keep this up throughout the week.

Lesson 5 - Computing

This week, you will continue entering commands in to '2Logo' on Purple Mash to draw different regular polygons. Regular polygons are shapes with many sides which are all the same length. The task instructions are all below. You will need to find '2Logo' in your '2Dos' on Purple Mash and watch the SECOND video which talks about the 'Repeat' option. I have included an example of the commands you will need to draw a triangle in the task instructions. Use the information I have given you about other shapes to draw them using the 'Repeat' command.
