We hope you're all well, staying safe and managing to enjoy the sunshine!
Following the Government's decision to continue with school closures, we would like to provide you with some fresh ideas and suggestions for activities you can do with your children whilst at home. We will continue to send you updates and activity ideas via Class Dojo and upload overviews of themes that we'd hoped to cover throughout the Summer term. However, there is no expectation for you to complete all the activities. Please continue to send us photographs if you get the chance - they've really made us smile and the children have loved seeing photos of one another.
This Coping Calendar has suggested 30 actions to look after ourselves and each other as we face this global crisis together https://www.actionforhappiness.org
A comprehensive list of helplines and websites offering you advice and support during this time can be found on the school website via the link below.
We are available online via Dojo if you have any questions - Monday-Friday between 10am-11am and 3-4pm.
We look forward to hearing from you. Take care of yourselves.
Visit to the Runway Visitor Park
The children were very excited to be visiting the airport! We learned about the different parts of an aircraft and all the different jobs at the airport. Lots of children were able to dress up as cabin crew and airport police. Everyone visited the flight deck (even the grown ups!) to see what it would be like to be a pilot.
We then went outside to watch the aeroplanes take off and land. It was very windy!!!
We were lucky enough to go and see the supersonic jet Concorde. The children measured themselves against the huge wheels and then saw who could count how many wheels Concorde has.
The children had a fantastic day - thank you to all our helpers!
Today is Safer Internet day. Here are some useful links for your reference.
