Activity:

Write your own diary entry including illustrations in the style of Jeff Kinney. Make it as funny as you can!

Start by thinking about things that have happened that have made you laugh - have you had a funny moment at school, at home or on holiday that you can remember?

Use the extract provided to help you with the style/format.

Designing your character vegetable

'World Book Day' Zoom meet-up @ 2:45pm 'Vegetables and Riddles'

In addition to sharing your character vegetables, we would like you to create some book character riddles for your classmates to guess! Write three different riddles and then choose your favourite to read out to everyone.

Make sure each one has at least four clues and finishes with the line, 'Who am I?'.

Here's one to start you off..........

I've got 'the most enormous ears'.

My nose is 'as sharp as a knife'.

I get very mixed up, jumble my words but 'I does my best'.

I'm a 'dream catcher' and put them into jars.

My story is written by Roald Dahl.

Who am I?

(The BFG)

Good luck!
