Lesson 1 - Maths
Today's lesson builds on yesterday's lessons and explores how to draw and interpret bar charts. Both groups need to watch the video below and then have a go at the Activity sheet. There are some questions which ask you to draw a bar chart to represent the data shown in either a tally chart or a pictogram (remember to look at the key carefully). For these questions, it would be best to use squared paper to draw your bar charts, so I have included some a sheet of printable squared paper, which you can use if you have a printer at home.
Lesson 2 - Reading
Read 'Whodunnit - The Case of the Broken Vase' and answer the questions.
Lesson 3 - English
Today, we begin a new block of work around the story 'The Lost Thing'. This is the first of 8 sentence stacker lessons where you will rewrite a short paragraph each day for each plot point of the story. To help give you an overview of the whole story, there is a video below (excuse the French subtitles) that you can watch. This should help you to keep track with where you are in the story in each upcoming lesson. Once you have watched the first video, you can work through the first lesson with Mrs. C and complete the thinking side sheet before writing your sentences. There is a writing support sheet you can use as well.
Lesson 4 - Religion
Today, you will begin a new block of work in Religion around the period of Lent. The first lesson starts at the beginning of Lent on Ash Wednesday. This is a special 6-week period which Christians observe in preparation for Easter. The lesson resources you need are all below. There is a CBBC Newsround webpage to read through and then a lesson PowerPoint which contains the instructions of your activities.
Story Time - Beetle Boy
We have reached the climax of the story now, and here is Chapter 21 read by Mr Tatlow.
