Lesson 1 - Maths

In today's lesson you will be solving problems which ask you to add different money amounts together. The problems are represented with a mixture of part-whole models and bar modelling and you will need to choose between these methods to solve some of the problems. Both groups need to watch the video below and work through the practise activities before completing the activity sheet for your group.

Lesson 3 - English - Comprehension

Today's English lesson is our reading comprehension session. The text today is a biography about the life of the famous children's author, Roald Dahl. Remember - a biography like this one is a text which describes the events of someone's life using third person because it has not been written by the person themselves (when someone writes a text about their own life - that is called an autobiography). There is a video clip to watch before you read the text which introduces you to Roald Dahl's life. You then need to read your group's version of the biography about Roald Dahl and answer the questions in full sentences. Answers are also provided below so you can mark and check your answers when you have finished.    

Lesson 4 - Topic

In this lesson, you will do some research to find out more about what everyday life was like for people in Ancient Greece and how it was very different for rich and poor people. The task instructions with all the web links you need are below along with a text to read which summarises different aspects of life for rich and poor people. You need to use the text and the videos on the web links to find out as much as you can. You need to summarise your findings using the grid provided or a double-page spread in your work book as explained in the task instructions. You will need to cover the following aspects: homes, food and drink, entertainment and sport, family, jobs and any other facts and information you can find!
