Golden Thread Ambassadors
Golden Thread Ambassadors
We have identified the threads that are woven through our curriculum in every subject and ensure that we recognise how faith is part of this too. Every half-term the Golden Thread Ambassadors speak to the children in assembly to discuss the focus for that half-term.
The 6 golden threads, taken from our mission statement and values, that then drive our curriculum are:
- diversity, equality and equity
- respect and kindness
- faith
- collaboration and being safe
- high aspirations for all
- being ready, perseverance and resilience
As part of this, each class has been taking part in charity activities for a specific charity of their choosing.
In February, 5/6S chose to sleep over in our school hall for Barnardo's charity, which they had been learning about through their History, Geography and English work.
Every half-term, 3 classes feedback to the school on the Golden Thread focus of that half-term, again building the confidence of our children in speaking in front of each other, developing their organisational skills in preparing a script for assembly and linking our curriculum to Catholic Social Teaching on how we can support others in our community but also across the world.
