Changes Within Living Memory

As part of the topic Street Detectives, children learned in an interactive way about the differences in technology that have occurred within living memory. They also learn about chronology and how to order key events within their life, and before their birth, on a timeline.

Learning about the Lives of Significant Individuals from Different Periods

Children are introduced to topics through memorable experiences that are intended to "hook" them into learning. As part of Land Ahoy and Moon Zoom, children compare the lives of two individuals from different periods. Children are encouraged from a young age to use observtion and other skills to investigate primary and secondary sources as part of their learning.
