KS2 Poetry Competition- Once Upon a Dream
Young Writers have opened their next writing competition called Once upon a Dream. Pupils are invited to delve into their imaginations to write a poem inspired by their dreams. Using any poetic style or technique, they can write about incredible worlds or fantasy creatures, conjure up nightmares to face their fears, or write about real-life dreams such as their ambitions or goals, hopes or wishes.
I have given entry forms out and have already received many entries for this competition which is fantastic to see! If you would like an entry form please ask your class teacher or myself and we will send one home.

This is Me - Poetry Competition
KS2 Writing Competition
Young Writers are running their annual This is Me Poetry Competition.
It's important for children to focus on and celebrate themselves, and This Is Me Acrostics allows them to do exactly that as they think about what makes them unique and the things they love. The acrostic is a brilliant way to introduce poetry writing as it gives your little learners a structure to work to, giving them the confidence to get creative with their words.
